Teaser for Downtown Detectives: Here’s a Downtown location that many readers have probably passed countless times on foot or while driving a car or riding a bus. You might not recognize it right away because it’s changed quite a bit over the last few months, as work crews have been busy preparing the site for something new. This photo offers a few clues on the location, including one that should be plenty for anyone who makes it his or her business to be in fashion. We’ll let everyone know the location in the next issue of the Garment & Citizen, which will be published on August 22 (see related item, “Combined Issue,” Inside Stories). Anyone who figures out the spot between now and then can let us know with a call to (213) 892-9983 or an e-mail to editor@garmentandcitizen.com
