Answering Questions on Cal/OSHA
Academics Meet Entrepreneurs: The Garment Contractors Association of Southern California (GCA) is teaming up with the UCLA Labor Occupational Safety and Health Program (UCLA-LOSH) to host a free safety seminar to interested business owners or their representatives. The seminar’s topics will include preventing injuries, a safety orientation checklist, basics of California Occupational Safety and Health Administration (Cal/OSHA) standards, preventing robberies and assaults in the workplace, and planning for various emergencies. Business owners or employees who attend will receive a certificate of completion for display on their commercial premises. The seminar is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30, at the UCLA Downtown Labor Center, which is located at 675 S. Park View Street in the Westlake district west of Downtown.
