Christmas Eve Celebration at Music Center

Local Mix: That’s what Christmas Eve visitors will get at the upcoming 48th Annual L.A. County Holiday Celebration. The event will feature choirs, music ensembles, and dance companies “reflecting the vibrant spectrum of cultures found in Southern California” and “the joy of the season.” The event is produced by the Los Angeles County Arts Commission, whose representatives spend the whole year looking for talented performers to include in the show. This year’s edition will feature more than 40 performing groups offering everything from Persian music to Mexican folkloric dance, and a combination of traditional Chinese dance and tangos. The fun is free to the public and set to run from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, December 24, at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion of the Music Center at 135 N. Grand Avenue. Doors will open at 2:30 p.m., and visitors will be free to come and go during the performances. Call (213) 972-3099 for more information.
